Card making: Horizontal Cover Plate --- PART 2

Good morning from Michigan.

Glad we have warmer winter here compared to last December. No snow on lawn nor driveway. This morning it's bit cold, but I can survive when I spend my day at home making cards or pinning on Pinterest.

今朝はマイナス10度と冷え込んでいますが、去年の寒さに比べれば楽なもので、暖かい家の中でカード作りをしています。

Today I am sharing another project using Horizontal Cover Plate from PTI. This time I used small doily papers and wood embellishments.

 

 

Since I am a mother of boys, I rarely use those lovely, pink and gold, or girlish layouts on my scrapbook pages or ProjectLife cards. But when making cards, I can give them to my friends or family so I think I should try more often!

 

今日も、前回と同じカバープレートを使ったカードの紹介です。普段スクラップブックやプロジェクトライフをするときには、息子たちの写真がメインなのでドイリーやハートや金銀のフォイルとは無縁です(^_^;)　そこで今回のカードにこうしたアイテムを盛り込んでみました。

 

 

 

 

Patternpapers and wooden embellishments are from Studio Calico.

 

 

 

 

Now, from four A2 size cardstocks, I could use all cover plates and strips. No scrap left (only from border base, of course). YAY!

４色のカードストックから出たカバーとボーダーを使い切ることができました。気分もスッキリ！

数日のうちに４枚もカードを作ることは稀なので楽しかったです。

 

ハロウィン以降のプロジェクトライフとスクラップブックが止まったままなので、次はそちらに取り掛かります。

 

同じペーパークラフトなのに、使う道具がすっかり変わるんですよね。２ヶ月も放置しているのでカン（？）を取り戻すのに時間がかかりそうです(^_^;)

Card making: Horizontal Cover Plate --- PART 1

Hi. Welcome to my very first post on this blog!

Today I am sharing my cards using "Sweet Life" stamp and "Horizontal Cover Plate" both by Papertrey Ink. Both are not new released product, but I just purchased the die, I was excited to play with it.

Pinterestで見つけた布地のデザインを今日のカードの参考にしています。


For today's card, it started from this image.

Then I made this card.

Gold and silver border was inspired by PTI's Blog Hop December theme.
Wish I could have submitted this card in time!



Next, using left over flower and strips, I made a card on black base.

I am satisfied with the results and see lots of possibilities of usage of this die!

And..perhaps, my next step is to think about how to take card photo for blogging...

作ってみて、使いやすく応用の効くダイだと思いました。
