PTI: Day 7: Heavy Metal Challenge

Today I have two cards to share here.

 

こんにちは。今日はゴールドとシルバーをテーマに、カードを２枚ご紹介します。

 

 

 

 

 

 

First, I made a birthday card, in gold.

 

I used Uncorked stamp set and Watercolor Wonder stamp. Today's challenge theme is neutral and metalic, so I chose gold and yellow and a little bit of navy for this card.

 

初めにご紹介するのは、ゴールドの縦ストライプを自作したバースディカードです。インクの色はゴールドではなくFine Linenというニュートラルな色ですが、上からゴールドのグリッターグルーとゴールドのミストを垂らし、全体的にゴールドの印象を強めてみました。

 

 

Few days ago when I made a card featuring Maile Bells creation, I had a fun with making patten from Watercolor Wonder stamp, so I did the same here. I added glitter glue and gold mist.

 

 

 

Cheers sentiment is cut from gold foil paper. I love this font!

 

 

センチメントはゴールドのフォイルペーパーでダイカットし、グラスは薄い黄色でスタンプしました。ハッピーバースディのセンチメンツも同じUncorkedのスタンプセットからです。

 

 

 

 

Next, thank you card, in silver.

 

次は、シルバーのカードです。

 

 

 

 

First I made borders by masking and dirctly rubbing the ink cube on paper. Then die cut the window using Mat stack die. Finally heat embossed Ruby Rose flowers. To finish, I added some silver sequins. Sentiment is also from Ruby Rose. This sentiment is one of my favorite from PapertreyInk.

 

マステを使ってストライプのラインを決めたあと、インクパッドをこすりつけてボーダーを作りました。タグ用のダイで大きくダイカットした中にセンチメンツを押しています。残りのカバー部分に花柄のスタンプを押し、シルバーでヒートエンボスをかけ、仕上げにシルバーのスパンコールを散らしました。

 

 

本当はこちらのカードを先に作ったのですが、ちょっと濃すぎたかな、、、と思い、もう１枚ゴールドで最初のカードを作り足しています。ついつい盛り込みすぎてしまうんですよね(>_<)

Make It Monday #199 Confetti Garlands

It's Monday again!

Today Betsy showed us how to make confetti garlands in her video, now it's my turn to try.

I already have some sequins in various sizes, found at Walmart, so I used them.

Also I wanted use Polka Dot Basic stamp which I finally purchased from PTI (because my PTI wish list is so long!).

昨日のBlog Hopに続き、今日もMIMに参加しました。
コンフェティをつないでガーランドを作るというテーマ。
手元にたくさんのスパンコールがあるので、消費を兼ねて(?)たくさんつなぎました。

So here is my card.

 

Polka dot in purple is from Polka Dot Basic stamp set and bigger circle is stamped from Pretty Petal stamp set. I also used Mat stack #6 series dies and stamps. "BIRTHDAY" diecut is my DIY foam sticker which Laurie showed us few weeks ago.

 

やっと購入したPolka Dot Basicも使ったし、12月にもらったフリーギフトのPretty Petalsもやっと開封できました。Polka Dotを等間隔に押すのはコツがいるけど、押してみると楽しいスタンプですね。以前から持っているBasic Ⅱよりもドットの間隔が広くて、やっぱりこっちのほうが好きです。

Card making: Birthday card & MIM challenge #196

Today I made a birthday card to join PapertreyInk's Make It Monday challenge.

After watching Danielle's video, I was ready to make my card using PTI's Delightful Dahlia Additions stamp set.

こんにちは。
今日はPapertreyInkのMakeItMonday参加するためのカードを作りました。
今回のテーマは、カードのメインとなるアイテムを、中心ではなくカードの角に持ってくるというものです。

来月に誕生日を迎える義理の母に贈ろうと決めてから作りました。

I already have a recipient of this card in my mind. My mother in law. Her birthday is in Febrary, so I made the card thinking about her.

This time, I didn't want to use die-cuts, so I used masking technique instead. I also used music sheet background stamps.
To finish the flowers, I choose pink rhinestones.

Since I wanted make this card bright and cheerful, I colored the Rustic Cream cardstock with Harvest Gold ink cube. Instead of using waterbrush, I directly rubbed the ink cube on the surface to make a random coloring effect. Even though it was my first try rub the cube directly on paper, I love the result.

Danielleのビデオの中では水彩画風に仕上げていたのですが、私はインクのキューブを直接こすりつける方法を選びました。濃い部分と薄い部分がランダムに出ることと、正方形のキューブの形が浮き上がることが気に入りました。それに、片付ける道具がひとつ減ってラクですし(^_^)


This year, I would like to try MIM challenge as many as possible.

３段階のスタンプで作るダリア。上手に重ねて押すことができると、本当にきれいな花ができあがります。スクラップブックとアルバムを休んで、もう少しこのダリアで遊ぼうかな。。。
