Season's Greeting Card 2015

Hi. It's been a while since I updated this blog last time.

So many things happened this summer, including moving and kids' starting new schools.

Now I finally set up my craft space again and it's almost time to prepare holiday greeting cards!

This year, I decided to make one layer cards using only one stamp set!

I used PEACEFUL PINECONES stamp set from PTI.

I added some glittering splatters using Heidi Swapp's mist.

And I am really satisfied with the result: single layer, no die cuts but I like it!

It took almost 3 hours to make 22cards from start to finish.

Make It Monday #209: White on White Die Cuts With a Pop of Color

 

Hi! Another week starts and I made this card. Simple simple, simple.

こんにちは。今日はとてもシンプルな挨拶カードの紹介です。

Lexi introduced in her MIM video "white on white die cuts" this fun technique.
Just like last MIM, I like this "hello" die so I used it again.

白いカードストックでダイカットしたフレーズを並べ、繰り返し貼りつけていきます。

メインとなる黒のフレーズもダイカットして厚みをつけるため二重に重ねておいた土台に重ねます。

・・・以上で完成です（笑）
I cut several "hello" in white and adhered onto cardstock.
To pop out the main sentiment in black. I layered three diecyut instead of using foam adhesive.

I thought about adding some embellishments, but I decide to keep it simplest, so that I can send this to either male or female recepient later.

男性にも送れるようにと、これ以上の飾りはしないことに決めました。
たまにはシンプルに徹するのもいいですね。

It is just white and black card, but it has lots and not (so) boring.

Sometimes, simple is best. So I like this card. Hope you like it, too.

Make It Monday #208: Ombre Stamping

"hello"!! Another week starts, and I begin this week starting from card making for new MIM challenge.

This week, Laurie introduced Ombre Stamping technique.
I stamped background in green ink cubes using obmre technique.
Colors used here are: Tropical Teal, Hawaiian Shore, Aqua Mist.
Also I added some more green dots using my current favorite tool, mist.

And...I LOVE Tropical Teal ink! I should have tried this color when it was released. (I just bought a cube a few months ago.)

今週のペーパートレイインクでは、オンブレ・スタンプのテクニックを紹介しています。オンブレは決して得意ではないのですが、せっかくなので挑戦しました。

グリーン系のインクで背景をオンブレに押し、仕上げにはリボンと花紙を使いました。ダイカットした"hello"には、グロッシーアクセンツを塗り、ツヤを出しています。

月曜の午前中のうちにカードが仕上がると気分がスッキリします（笑）

Make It Monday #207: Double Partial Die Cutting

Hi!
Today I finally made a card for PapertreyInk's Make It Monday Challenge. This week Laura introduced Double Partial Die Cutting technique.

こんにちは。
２種類のダイを組み合わせてフレームを作るというお題。
フレームが出来てからもカードに仕上げるまでに時間がかかってしまいましたが、期限内に仕上げることができました。

I struggled how to finish die cut frame with base card and it took me a week to finish one card. Sometimes it happens.

Anyway, here is my card.

I used tulip stamp from Cuppa Love stamp set to make this card SPRING-y.

ブルーとイエローとブラックの組み合わせで何か作りたいと思っていたので、今週のチャレンジで使ってみてスッキリしました(´∀｀)

These days I wanted make something in yellow, blue and black combination, so I am happy that I made it.

Make It Monday #206: Stamping and Mixing Patterns



Today I had so much fun stamping lots of patterns to build this card. Danielle's card is very beautiful and inspired me to make bright and fun card.

初めに、今日は写真の質が悪くてすみません。。

今日もペーパートレイインクのチャレンジに出すカードです。
３つ以上の自作パターンペーパーを組み合わせてカードを作るというもの。組み立てが難しくて、細切りにして並べることにしました。全体的にゴチャゴチャしていますが、「賑やかで楽しい」多目的カードということで、今週はこれで良しとします。。。

This week's MIM theme is to combine more than 3 DIY pattern papers to build a card. So I used different stamp sets and different ink cubes to stamp each pattern.

BUT! It was not that easy when you combine those patterns onto one cardstock. So what I did here was to make strips of pattened paper and lined up. And, I think I like it!

Sorry the pictures today were from my iPad and quality is not good and dark... The first picture is better than second.

Make It Monday #205: Confetti Cluster Stamping

Hi! Today I made a card for this week's MakeItMonday Challenge.

Lizzie introduced in her video how to make fun cluster stamping without using die cut. It looked so much fun, I gave it a try right after I watched the video.

I traced the H and I alpha cuts (from Studio Calico's SB kit) with pencil and started stamping. I chose Bubble Talk stamp set for this card.

Color combo is taken from March release color recipe below.
(I used Smokey Shadow instead of True Black).

Since stamps are slightly bigger to fit within the letters, I needed to mask along the pencil lines, but it wasn't a problem at all, because every line is streight! I kept stamping until I could fill all the blank areas. Erased the pencil lines and main part was done!

I couldn't stop fun stamping at this point, I even stamped around the edge of base cardstock. Adhered the front panel, added a few embellishments and my card was finished.

It was so much FUN!! Thanks to PapertreyInk for offering those fun challenges every week.

今日もペーパートレイインクのチャレンジに参加しました。

今週はリジーが紹介する「クラスター・スタンピング」というテクニックを使ったカードを作る挑戦です。リジーのビデオはこちらから→。

丸でも星でもハートでもなんでもいいので、鉛筆でうっすらベースになるラインを描きます。

その線に沿って、スタンプで図柄の中をスタンプで埋めていき、スタンプが終わったら鉛筆のラインを消すというテクニック。

この時点でかなり迫力のあるイメージが出来上がっていると思うので、仕上げの飾りは簡潔に。。。

私はもうちょっとスタンプで遊びたくて、ベースのカードストックにまでスタンプしています。

試してみたら、とても面白いテクニックでした。

最近はスクラップブックに夢中になり、プロジェクトライフも同時進行していて、先月のようにはカードを作らなくなっているのですが、こうしてペーパートレイインクの楽しいチャレンジが定期的にあると、息抜き的にカード作りも楽しめるので嬉しいです。

来週は誰が、どんなチャレンジを提案してくれるのでしょう。月曜日の朝が少し楽しくなってきた今日このごろです。

Make It Monday #203: Doodling With Stamps

Hi! Today I made a card to submit PTI Make It Monday. This week Ashley introduced a new technique "Doodling With Stamps".

こんにちは。今日は新しく覚えたテクニックで作ったカードです。スタンプしたイメージの上から、ペンでなぞるようにふち取りをしていきます。決して絵を描くのは上手くありませんが、すでにスタンプしてあるイメージをなぞるだけなので、そう難しくはありません。考えずにサッサと描いたほうが自然に仕上がりました。

When I first saw this technique while PTI's Feb. release, I really liked it and wanted to imitate her card, so I bought the same stamp set "ENCLOSED:Flower". But today it is a day for a new challenge, I chose different stamp set to try with.

 So here is my card.

I used my all the time favorite stamp set, SWEET LIFE.

I stamped flower image by two layers so I slightly could see the second layer to use as a guide. But most of the doodling was made quite free style. I tried to draw bold outlines.

For background, I added lots and lots of small dots using Heidi Swapp's mist.

背景はミストを使って細かくドットを描いています。

I really really like this technique. The flowers look very different from original 3 layered stamped image. Another usage of stamp set which I already have.

To be honest, I want make some more cards in other color combos.

Happy Anniversary card

Good evening :) Tonight I have a card to share.

日曜の夜ですが、締め切り間際になって今週もペーパートレイインクのMIMに参加したくなり、急いでカードを作りました。せっかくなのでALTENEWのチャレンジとも合わせています。
　

PapertreyInk's Make it Monday#201 gave us a challenge of coverplate stencil and embossing paste. And ALTENEW's feburary Challenge is still going on with "Gold and Glitter" theme.


ペーパートレイインクでは、カバープレートで作ったステンシルを使い、ペーストを伸ばしてエンボス風に仕上げるというもの。
一方のALTENEWは、ゴールドとグリッターがテーマです。

And I came up with ideas of this card!

そして出来上がったカードがこちら↓

Here, I embossed glaze over stamped roses using cover plate. And sprinkled some glitters on top. Stamp and cover plate are from PTI. 

Then I added "Happy Anniversary" sentiment and a bigger rose. both from ALTENEW. 

Lastly, I added some gold accents using Color Shine mist.

ステンシルの窓から小花柄のスタンプを押し、上からグレーズをかけました。グレーズが乾く前にクリアのグリッターをふりかけています。

グレーズでインクは滲んでいますし、カバーをはがした時にステンシルの一部がくっついてしまったりと不器用さが丸出しですが、、気にしないことにします。

センチメントと大きいバラはALTENEWのスタンプです。色は控えめにしました。

仕上げにゴールドのミストを垂らして完成です。


グレーズもゲッソも持っていたのですが、なかなか勇気が出ずステンシルに使ったことがありませんでした。

初めてトライしてみて思ったのは、着色しなくても存在感があって気に入ったことと、多少の失敗もむしろ味になって良い（笑）ということです。

実はマーサ・スチュワートのステンシルをいくつも持っているので、もっと積極的にカードやスクラップブックに使いたいなとも思いました。

PTI: Day 8: Blue Ombre Challenge

 

 

 

This is my first time I made ombre by myself. I tried to blend inks at first but it failed (it's not easy!), I changed my plan and used Super Stripes stamp set instead (it was easy!).

 

Then I embelished some flowers from Rosie Posie stamps and add little bit of white paper streamer as an accent.

 

今日は、青いグラデーションののカードを作るというテーマでチャレンジに挑戦しています。流行りのインクブレンディングは私の不器用な腕ではできなかったので、簡単にストライプのスタンプで実現してみました。

 

ロージーポージーのお花と、ハローのセンチメンツの他に、花紙用の白いテープと、青いミストの滴を使いました。

 

For sentiment, I heat embossed "hello" stamp in silver. Small spots are made with Color Shine mist in blue.

 

 

 

This month's PTI anniversary challenges are all fun!!

PTI: Day 7: Heavy Metal Challenge

Today I have two cards to share here.

 

こんにちは。今日はゴールドとシルバーをテーマに、カードを２枚ご紹介します。

 

 

 

 

 

 

First, I made a birthday card, in gold.

 

I used Uncorked stamp set and Watercolor Wonder stamp. Today's challenge theme is neutral and metalic, so I chose gold and yellow and a little bit of navy for this card.

 

初めにご紹介するのは、ゴールドの縦ストライプを自作したバースディカードです。インクの色はゴールドではなくFine Linenというニュートラルな色ですが、上からゴールドのグリッターグルーとゴールドのミストを垂らし、全体的にゴールドの印象を強めてみました。

 

 

Few days ago when I made a card featuring Maile Bells creation, I had a fun with making patten from Watercolor Wonder stamp, so I did the same here. I added glitter glue and gold mist.

 

 

 

Cheers sentiment is cut from gold foil paper. I love this font!

 

 

センチメントはゴールドのフォイルペーパーでダイカットし、グラスは薄い黄色でスタンプしました。ハッピーバースディのセンチメンツも同じUncorkedのスタンプセットからです。

 

 

 

 

Next, thank you card, in silver.

 

次は、シルバーのカードです。

 

 

 

 

First I made borders by masking and dirctly rubbing the ink cube on paper. Then die cut the window using Mat stack die. Finally heat embossed Ruby Rose flowers. To finish, I added some silver sequins. Sentiment is also from Ruby Rose. This sentiment is one of my favorite from PapertreyInk.

 

マステを使ってストライプのラインを決めたあと、インクパッドをこすりつけてボーダーを作りました。タグ用のダイで大きくダイカットした中にセンチメンツを押しています。残りのカバー部分に花柄のスタンプを押し、シルバーでヒートエンボスをかけ、仕上げにシルバーのスパンコールを散らしました。

 

 

本当はこちらのカードを先に作ったのですが、ちょっと濃すぎたかな、、、と思い、もう１枚ゴールドで最初のカードを作り足しています。ついつい盛り込みすぎてしまうんですよね(>_<)

Card: Thank you

Today is my thirty-something birthday, and many of my friends sent me warm messages. I am really thankful that I 've know them for years or decades(!?) and they are still my good friends.

So I made a card showing my "thank you".

 

 

 

Again, I used NEON ink here: orange, pink and yellow.

 

I also feel black cardstocks look great with ALTENEW stamps.

 

 

Now I inked all of my ALTENEW stamp sets. I am so waiting for their new release in this month!!

今日はペーパートレイインクのチャレンジがなく、そして私の誕生日で、、、ということで、誕生日メッセージを送ってくれた友人に作ったお礼のカードです。

 

まだ使っていなかったALTENEWのポピーのスタンプを使いました。黒と蛍光色の組み合わせにしたかったので、使ったのはポピーのスタンプと小さいセンチメンツのみ。葉も足さないことにしました。

 

 

 

いいですね。。。ALTENEW　

 

全部のスタンプを買い占めたいほどです。でもこれからはダイもインクもリリースするようなので、コンプリートは無理そう。ゆっくり買い足していきます。

PTI: Day 5: Spring Into Action Challenge

 

 

PapertreyInk 8year anniversary Day5 challenge is to use a stamp that has not been inked yet. Sorry PTI, I have several stamp sets that haven't used yet or inked once or twice...

 

For me, today is the day to make a MUG shaped card! When Nichole first introduced this die and stamp set in her blog, I planned to make dozens of cards using those sets. But for months, any creative idea came up to me until today.

 

Anyway, I wanted creat my MUG like vintage glass mugs with retro flowers. So I chose orange and grey color combo (mid century, right?) and heat embossed in clear and black to make a glass-y look.

 

 

 

I like the results, and this style can be played with lots of oter color combos to make a card set.

今日もペーパートレイインクのチャレンジ用にカードを作りました。マグカップ型のカードの紹介です。

 

ファイヤーキングやオールド・パイレックスのマグが大好きなので、PTIがこのダイを出した時には大急ぎで買ったのですが、何を作ろうかリサーチを頑張りすぎて、作りたいものがよくわからなくなってしまったこの数ヶ月。

 

今日のチャレンジのテーマが、「まだ一度もインクをつけていないスタンプや、あまり使いこなせていないスタンプに『春』をもたらそう」というもの。やっとマグカップ型カードが出来上がりました。今回は、ミッドセンチュリーを意識してオレンジと黒を組み合わせました。ガラスのような質感を出してみたくて、全体にクリアのヒートエンボスをかけています。

 

うーん。もっといろいろ作りたくなってきた。。

PTI: Day 4: Build a Bouquet Challenge

Today's PTI challenge is to build a bouquet from more than one floral stamp sets. Here I used four stamp sets: Sweet Life, Delightful Dhalia, Cutting Garden and Meadow Greens. I added glitter glues to each of flower. The background is also hand stamped using polka dot basic.

こんにちは。

ペーパートレイインクのチャレンジ四日目、複数のスタンプセットからブーケを作るというお題でした。難しいテーマのように感じたものの、作り始めてみると、１つのセットだけを使うより、いろんな花と葉を組み合わせて作るほうが、全体のバランスを取りやすいことに気づきました。

このカードはペーパートレイインクのデザインチームメンバーであるDawn McVeyの作風を意識して作りました。ペーパートレイインクを知った頃は、彼女のブログを参考にスタンプを買い集めていたほど、明るい鮮やかな色使いと、花と葉のダイカットをいくつも大胆に重ねる作風が好きなのです。

仕上げのグリッターは、なかったほうがいいかな、、とも思いましたが、無ければ無いで何か欠けたような気がするし、これで良かったかな、、

PTI: Day 3: Bagged + Tagged Challenge

 

 

 

 

PTI's 8th anniversary Day 3 challenge is to make a tag with gift bag. I used Stamp-a-Fair 2014 1940s stamps and dies for this set. It is first time for me to use the flower and leaf die, and I LOVE it! So lovely die cuts are made easily.

 

連日カードを作り続けているおかげで作業の効率が上がり、短時間で１つの作品を仕上げられるようになってきました。一時期に集中してクラフトに打ち込むのもいいですね。

ま、、キッチンもリビングも寝室も、めちゃくちゃですが。

 

 

 

This time I also die cut a doily in Aqua Mist paper. This doily die is one of my favorite PTI purchase I can say.

 

今日のお題はギフトタグとギフトバッグをセットで作ることでした。ちょっと手間は掛かりましたが、タグとお揃いのバッグ用ハンドルもスタンプして作りました。

 

 

 

 

I had so much fun from today's challenge. So excited what is coming next.

 

今月のペーパートレイインク。すでに欲しいものがいろいろ登場しています。発売日が楽しみです。

Card: 2015 PTI wishlist challenge

This card is for PapertreyInk's 8th anniversary challenge.

こんにちは。

今日はレイアウトとカラーコンボを選択してからカードを作っています。ドイリーやフラワーが続いていたので、今回は全然つかっていないコーヒーのスタンプセットを使うことにしました。

I chose the layout and color combo below.

I used Latte Love stamp set and watercolored piled mug cup die cut with New Leaf ink. To finish, I added black glitter ribbon for a bold accent.


積み重なったマグのダイカットは、水彩画風にぼかすことでファイヤーキングのジェダイ風にしてみました（笑）そんな風に見えますか??　
仕上げには、黒いグリッターリボンを貼って全体を引き締めました。このアメリカンクラフトのリボンは裏に接着テープがすでについているので、とっても使いやすいです。

Card: PTI: Maile Belles Returns!

Great news! Maile Belles returns PTI stamp design. I love her designs.

ペーパートレイインクの企画に参加するためのカードを作りました。今日のテーマは、Maile Bellesからインスピレーションを受けたカード作り。彼女がデザインしたスタンプを使って作りました。

So today PTI gives us a chance to win $80 gift certificate by entering one card which is inspired by her creations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here I used watercolor wonder stamp set, mini broom stamp set and polka dot basic stamp set. After making patterns, I cut the paper and added a sentiment and enamel dots. I remember she used polka dot stamps onto some patterns and thought it cool, I used the same technique on my card. Diagonal lines created by watercolor wonder stamp is inspired by PTI's new product, Watercolor Wonder Paper. It's so easy to make if you use one stamp and one ink pad, but I have never thought of making my own pattern paper like this!

いろいろ足したい気持ちをグッとこらえてシンプルに徹しました。あまり使いこなせていなかったWatercolor Wonderのスタンプにもやっと出番がきて良かった（笑）　
それにしてもSWEET BLUSHって本当に綺麗な色。。。

Make It Monday #200: Layering Cover Plate Die Cuts

Today I made a card for Make It Monday challenge. Dawn shows us an idea of layering plate die cuts in her video.

Since I have only two coverplate dies, it takes a few days to find out what I can make for this challenge. I choose the same layout that I made weeks ago and my card is done!!

ペーパートレイインクのMIMに参加するカードを作りました。同じカバープレートで抜いた２枚を重ねるという今回のテーマ。ボーダーのカバープレートで挑戦です。

In the heart die cut, I stamped Pretty Petal stamps with white chalk ink. When I first received this free gift from PTI in December, I couldn't think about how to use in card layout, but today, I am so happy because I really like the pattern made with those petals in pink heart die cut! I watercolored the edge of heart with blue gelatos, and doily is misted with Heidi Swapp's yellow colorshine mist. I couldn't finish my card without adding glitters and gold, I added dots with gold mist and even glitter tapes in three colors. A wood embellishment has a heart in it, cordinated with the heart shaped die cut.

ここ最近はグリッターなしにカードを仕上げることができなくて、今日もギラギラを足しました。ほんわりした色だけでは物足りなくて引き締める色を足したかったのですが、ちょっとキツかったかな、、まぁいいかな、、（笑）

ミストが大流行したときに、すぐに流行が終わってしまうなら買うのはもったいないかなと思い、あまり集めなかったのですが、最近ステンシルが流行ったりしてミストの登場も増えていますね。安心してイエローとブルーの２本を買い足しました。ドイリーも簡単に色付けできて重宝しそうです。
